Positive Negative Neutral Advice

This college boasts that it provides "Christ" centered education. Save yourself $20,000+ a year and DO NOT believe their propaganda.

If I had it to do over again, I would have chosen another school. Their academics suffer because the administration would prefer the students be religious rather than academic. Hypocrisy abounds and, if you point that out, you're accused of just being "negative."

I am so happy to have graduated. I left this "Christian" institution a near atheist due to the legalistic, narrow-minded, hypocritical, delusional people (both roommates AND leadership) I met there.

Liberty University, according to government statistics, graduates approximately 25% of the original freshman class in four years. They graduate a whopping 45% of the original freshman class in six years. (In other words, only 25% of the original freshman class of 2003 graduated in 2007. 45% of the 2003 freshman class may graduate in 2009.)

There is NO assistance in job placement after graduation and Liberty has made itself a very poor reputation, both in the academic and work worlds.

Liberty, because it is expanding faster than its budget allows, is taking everyone who applies. Applicants are no longer screened or sorted by any criteria. (I worked in admissions, so I would know.) If you decide to attend, be prepared to sit in class with people whose SAT may have been as high as 650 combined.

Liberty students have earned the reputation of being freaks in Lynchburg, where the campus is. Having lived off campus and interacted with many locals, it is NOT because the students are "Christian." It is because they are anything but Christ-like.

They party, do drugs, get drunk, have sex, and then feel free to stiff waitresses, be jerks, and harass strangers about going to church while shopping in Target, all with their cute little LU t-shirts on. Then the students wonder why people hate them. The non-believers are nicer than the "believers." I reiterate what I said earlier: save your faith, and go somewhere that will actually challenge you. Don't go to a place that's full of snakes who are trying to steal your soul and as much of your money as they can get.

This shool is full of raging, mad, uptight, get in your face about jesus, jesus debaters, tattletailing, had no fun in highschool so ill bring that to liberty and debate you on calvinism on a friday night weirdos, and quite frankly it sucks. RA are really just guys who are uptight and cant enjoy life without giving someone reps for hair. the rules here are close to a concentration camp, everyone sneeks out, sneeking out in college, yeah it is more strict than highschool. Ra have no respect for human feeling they just follow the rules down to a nitty gritty and if they dont so help me God an RD will say they are doing bad and write them a nasty note telling them how angry they are. Everyone loves to go to church it is almost like they get horny for church. convo three times a week, basically convo is brainwash time in the fact that my views have to align with falwell or hindson and if they dont i am going strait to hell. gned is a college class in which i am ashamed to call a college class. the teachers brainwash everyone into questioning every decision
