Business office is horrible,Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Business office is horrible, Many RA's feel like they should be a Pensacola Christian College and give reps for breathing. Most Prof's are great and are there to help when you need them.

Question
This school is so contradictory.BrightBiology
This school is so contradictory. Liberty wants you to find your future spouse here. They encourage dating, to the point where it becomes obnoxious.Yet, you can only hold hands when you are dating. Also, according to one speaker that came here, If you dont propose to a girl within 6 months of dating her, then any guy is able to pursue her.Im serious, thats what he said.

The intellectual atmosphere at this school lacks tremendously. Since Liberty accepts anyone, and i mean ANYONE( my friends roommate had never heard of Jesus before he came here, and its supposed to be a christian school), the majority of the students are stupid, because they cant get into anywhere else. Most of the people here are very sheltered and close minded also. If you arent a legalistic, bible banging conservative, your life will be miserable here.

On monday, wednesday, and friday, there is a required church service at 10 am. Its mostly just a time to sleep, since the sermons are usually boring.Occasionally, the school will get a good speaker, but its rare.

There curfew during the week is 12, which isnt so bad.but its 12:30 on the weekend. Prepare to be treated like a child, because if you are late, you will get reps, which add up over time, costing you money. The school seems to have plenty of money, enough to spend a ridiculous amount on a ski slope, which nobody really uses, instead of spending money on parking. The parking here is absolutely horrible. Prepare to drive around endlessly, looking for a spot.Overall, this is not the place to come if you want a real college experience(doesnt mean partying) You can go to a regular college, and ask for substance free housing if you dont want to deal with the party scene. The people here are fake, and call themselves christian. The girls are arrogant, the guys are tools, and you will be lucky to find an original, nice person- Most of them are in the arts departments.. If you cant get into a good school, suck it up and go to a community college for a semester or two. I plan on transferring out of here asap. Biggest, and most co$tlie$t mistake of my life

Question
I graduated from High School with a 3.BrightBiology
I graduated from High School with a 3.75 GPA and did well on my ACT and SAT. My parents wanted me to go to a college reasonably close and they felt that Liberty would be a good place to go (mostly because it is conservative and is considered a safe campus). My major is Biology. Unfortunately I must say that all my classes were taught with a decisively religions bias, especially Biology. Evolution is discredited at every opportunity and anything referencing an Earth that is billions of years old is labeled as false conclusions based of faulty science. I wished I knew that before I started attending Liberty. The only reason they teach anything at all about evolution is that they have to in order to be accredited in science. But you may be certain that when they do teach evolution it is taught with the idea of showing that it is wrong. Any discussion about the fossil evidence and various radiocarbon dating techniques (or any other radiometric dating technique) quickly get you into an argument with the faculty who believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible. Sad to say for Liberty, Evolution and an old Earth (4.5 billion years old) are taught at the majority of colleges in the United States/Europe (except for a few Evangelical Christian Colleges) and widely accepted by the vast majority of the scientific community (as is radiometric dating techniques).

So, my advice, if you want a good solid college education in the sciences, go to another college (like Virginia Tech).
