Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
To me, FAU is a much better choice than FSU, UCF or UF. Boca Raton is a very nice, safe, yuppie town with insanely snobby rich people. There is tons to do in Miami (40 minutes away) or Fort Lauderdale (15 minutes away) or right here in Boca / West Palm. Boca Raton is much more exciting than a hick town like Gainesville. The basketball team is among the best in the country, although the football team is brand new. I'm an English major, but the Political Science department is very strong and the professors often appear on CNN. Most professors are extremely liberal, which is frustrating for any one who would dare to disagree with them. This is the most diverse university in the world (163 countries represented) so if diversity is what you want, then come here. Visit the campus, then decide if FAU is for you. It has a good reputation in the south Florida area. Good luck!
