Although stereotypes exist for a reason and UVM can fit the mold of a hippie/snowboarding/party-haven, there is a lot more to the school than meets the eye and I thoroughly enjoyed my years there. I was an extreme procrastinator when it came to academics and have realized the error of my ways because UVM and its professors have a lot to offer if a student is willing to show an interest. There is a vast amount of resources and involved professors at the fingertips of each and every student, unfortunately some students are too hung-over to realize this before the 4 years are up. Burlington is also a really eclectic little city, full of funky bars and restaurants and a fairly good music scene. If you can make it through the VT winters, the summers are absolutely perfect…
