The University of Montana prepared me for my career and life in so many ways. I had excellent professors who challenged and cared, access to many academic opportunities as an undergraduate and an academic work-ethic inspired by my fellow students. It is a place where people work hard and play hard. I met and was befriended by some of the best people in the world on Western Montana's rivers, ski-hills, mountain trails and on campus. Most of those friendships have lasted 20 years.To students: Find a good school that can deliver a quality education with plenty of hands-on opportunities as well as delivering the quality of life that can be a springboard to your career outside of work. UM is that place to many.
