Awesome school. Admittedly private schools may offer more resources, such as quicker times to meet with advisors and stuff like administrative stuff… but nothing beats Berkeley. You will miss it when you leave. This I guarantee. Enjoy it while you can, don't fall back on grades too much. Berkeley has its share of brilliant people. It is the best place for intellectual stimulation and basically is the best university in the world. Graduate students who have been both at Harvard and Berkeley say they like berkeley much better.
