Northeastern just moved up to the Top Tier of National Universities in the 2005 U.S. News Rankings (formerly tier II). Ten years ago Northeastern was a four tier commuter school with average facilities and an ugly campus. Thanks to the efforts of the administration, faculty, students, and alumni, Northeastern is now one of the most attractive universities in the country. The university has world class facilities, top notch faculty, and one of the most attractive urban campuses in the U.S. Northeastern should continue to rise in the rankings for the foreseeable future.
