Date: Sep 01 2004 Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time) I always knew I wanted to do something in art, and I asked my high school teacher which schools to recommend in Texas for their art departments. UH was on top of the list because 1)Houston has an art scene much bigger and more active than other cities 2)classes are small 3)faculty of practicing artists really help students out. I had a great time at UH, I found a great network of creative people that didn't have to conform to the rigidness of other texas schools.UH is not a traditional school. That's what's great about it. If you have the character to realize that your college experience is what YOU make of it, not just years of stupid traditions that won't be relvant ten years from now, then UH could be the school for you.
