The CSE Dept is ok at UTA depending upon what you have been through. Bureacracy is the order of the day here. Faculty is generally foreign and pretty rude. The so called CSE-Advisors (sans Dr Linda Barasch) without whose approval you cannot register a CSE course have turned Advising into sheer 'Harrassment'. Be prepared to be shouted at and even yelled at. With the exception of Dr Linda Barasch the CSE-Advsors will give you wrong courses!!! The Advisors have PhDs and should behave liked respectable people but they treat you like trash. I have never been humiliated as much as at the hands of CSE Advisors. Then there is an Instructor whose name begins with 'W' and teaches Alg. and he talks too loudly. Stay away from him. He has the habit of kicking students out during his office hours!!! He did that with three of my friends. Unbelievable right? Thats CSE@UTA for you!!!
