Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
Attending Notre Dame has been a lifelong dream for me and because of this I came in with very high expectations. Having now spent a year at Notre Dame I can tell you that my expectations have not only been met but have been exceeded. I transferred to Notre Dame from another Midwest university so I have the benefit of knowing what college is like somewhere else and what I have found is that Notre Dame students don't realize how good they truly have it! Notre Dame is not perfect (and certainly is not right for everyone) but despite the flaws I feel that Notre Dame is one of the best schools in the nation. You truly feel a part of the Notre Dame family, there is always something going on on-campus, it is paradise if you like sports, and the people are very friendly and outgoing. The professors are all top-rate (though I argue ND has lost a bit of its Catholic character by allowing some of these "scholars" on campus) and while Notre Dame is very expensive you can rest assured that your college experience will be one of the best in the nation. College is more than just classes, sports, extracurriculars, or parties but it is the combination of all of these factors. Notre Dame is a work hard party hard place, it isn't a party school (so if you want that look elsewhere) but rather it has some great parties, fantastic ec's, great sports, and great academics. It is what a college experience should be. If you want specifics on how it compares to other schools let me know as I have transfer friends from all over the nation, but let me tell you that there is just something very special about this place. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments, I will try to be as unbiased and neutral as I can.
