George Washington is the perfect school—for the right person. It is in the most beautiful area of Washington DC with direct accessibility to everything the city has to offer. There is always something fun and interesting to do both on and off campus. People are generally friendly, and there are a lot of different extracurriculars to chose from if you choose to get involved. What GW lacks is a really cohesive student community. Although there is somewhat of a defined campus, being right smack in the middle of the city makes things the social scene more fragmented than at campus schools. If you don't enjoy being in the city, are looking for a large campus with rolling grass hills, or want to spend your weekends tailgating and going to football games, GW is NOT for you. Who GW is for is motivated and adventurous individuals that want to receive a quality education while living in one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Internships are plentiful, networking is a must, and the city more than takes up the slack for lack of well landscaped green quads.
