Major: Engineering Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I came to CMU from an international school, and was looking to major in Mechanical Engineering. I ended up tacking on a Physics major as well, which made life a bit more difficult. Students here generally stick together - there's a fair bit of competition but if you're ever stuck someone will always try to help you out and work over the subject. The social scene isn't the most exciting. Most people cluster together in their fields/frats/organizations but as you get further along in the years there is more intermingling.I'd probably do it again, albeit I wouldn't work as hard as I did.
