Date: Oct 07 2006 Major: Geography and Geosciences (This Major's Salary over time) The Geography department at SHSU is very good. The curriculum is intensive and the profs are helpful and knowledgable. Top profs to look-up are Barron, Netoff, Torrez and Liepnik. Though Netoff is very tough he's fair. Getting some skills in GIS could help you land a seriously lucrative ($) job after graduation. Companies are still hiring students at the Masters level before they finish their degree if they have GIS. If you take a class from Williams write down everything he says. Would recommend Geography/Geology as a top major.
