The history department is great here. The professors are interesting for the most part. They are also passionate in what they teach. However financial aid is a joke for out of state students. The UM is great to go to college if you love the outdoors. Social life is not so great. Going to Frat parties gets boring after a couple of weeks. There is not much to do in Missoula unless your over 21. People are very liberal here so don't expect to have opposing views. The people are very friendly here but dumb at times. There is a lot of drug activity on campus if you like that kind of thing. I almost feel like I am the only person not doing drugs. After a year at UM I am transferring colleges
