| For
an engineering major, The University of Houston is THE IDEAL
place because it attracts many major companies for co-ops, internships
and permanent employment. This is because most of the
major energy-industry-related, Aerospace, Medical, Oil&Gas companies run operations from Houston. EVERYONE I know in my major (ME), as a
student, already has been offered, multiple times, internships, co-ops, or
permanent employment after graduation in their field from the following
companies: Halliburton, KBR, GE, Shell, Exxon-Mobil, BP, Dupont, Weatherford,
Panhandle Energy, Williams Energy, Valero, NASA, Lockheed Martin, United Space
Alliance, Continental Airlines, misc. Engineering firms, and the list goes
on.
