Where to begin…

This is not the University for you if you want the REAL college experience, Christian or not I'd say. I'm a Christian and expected to come to this school and enjoy my stay. I was wrong. I'm just going to rant off things in random order. To begin, the first priority of this school is to put more people in it, no matter who it may be. Hence bringing in tons of people from other countries I guess for "multi culture" appearance and giving them huge scholarships that come out of paying students pockets. Bringing in more people just makes it worse on the students already here, the food is so far beyond unworthy of eating its ridiculous, they wont increase the dining hall probably because funding goes to other stuff. Many many many have suffered from food borne illnesses this way. The rules are next, they are pretty bad, and ridiculous. Most here are adults and expect to be treated so, explore the rules, they are way worse than appearing. To be an RA you apparently have to be a jerk, they follow you around looking for every opportunity to give you reps which in turn steal your money by charging it to your tuition. Curfew sucks. As far as fun atmosphere, nothing period. Everyone that wants to have a life leaves on the weekend to avoid this boring school and town and avoid being shoveled reps. Even if you were to watch any rated R movie. On the weekend everyone does homework, sleeps, eats or plays Madden, it sucks. Lynchburg offers nothing to do, during the day or at night, which is around 8 when everything starts shutting down. You have curfew anyway. On Wednesday nights forget doing anything, church shuts down anything you could possibly think of doing. More than anything the school would just like money to bring in more students. Your 20,000 dollars a year goes right down the toilet, you'll see none of it. Please do yourself a favor and don't come here. I'm transferring soon, everyone makes mistakes.

P.S. One of the worst things, you are rewarded for narcing or snitching on your friends, if you don't you suffer the worst consequences, the Deans just want you to say what they want you to. Seen many of my friends go down because of this, its sad.

responseHonestly, i have to say that Liberty is one of the best universities in the world. like any it has its faults, but let me set the record straight: you are NOT rewarded for snitching and I have been here two years and NEVER even heard of a real case in which it was done
responseHey, Tasha

Read Kevin Roose's "The Unlikely Disciple" has some good insight to LU.
