I started the Associate of Science; Computer Animation Degree Program when I was 17, Graduated from FullSail in 2002, the placement dept is needless to say horrible, they are no help whatsoever, maybe just me but that is my opinion. The only work I've done related to my degree has been found on my own, and work available was slim to none for the most part. And before some FullSail fanboy/girl gets on here and says you're just not a driven or motivated individual, how about I fill you in on a little something about me. Not long after I graduated I was as I said getting some work, and while doing that I worked part-time jobs to make ends meet, I was fine with that. For those of you unaware a war has been going on for quite some time now, unfortunately a buddy of mine suffered 3rd degree burns all over his body from an IED(Improvised Explosive Device), he was 18 years old. So I dont know about anyone on here but I felt it was my duty as an American to do my part, it's not fair that so few should sacrifice so much, when so many stay behind with no appreciation of these brave men and women and never do their part or feel the need to. So I enlisted into Active Duty service, went through my training(lost about 80 lbs), after my training I was sent to Ft Bragg, and within weeks went into the combat zones of Afghanistan. Was injured to the point where there is no procedure to reverse or repair my injuries sustained in combat now I'm permanently disabled with an honorable discharge and little to no chance of finding good work for a broken down disabled vet, even with a degree, but I'm fighting every day to find work even with my disabilities, so dont even try to tell me I'm not motivated or self driven, try to do what so few have done and are doing in service of our country then come talk to me. TAKE MY ADVICE do not jump into the pipe dream FullSail will feed you, either get trial versions of software needed in your career field and utilize various tutorials online to teach yourself or go to a "real" college/university, get a "real" education, and save your money.
