FOUR incidents of robberies of University of Delaware students in the past month alone, the last one being last night, September 2, 2008 - the other three in August. These happened ON or very near to campus. Three of the incidents were at gunpoint. This just continues the escalation of violent crimes against students over the past few years. The response of campus safety? To start giving out $100 tickets to students for jaywalking. Are they kidding??? This campus is not safe - students being robbed and beaten at gunpoint—and they are worried about jaywalking. Get me out of here.
