As a transfer student, UMass did very little to orient me or other transfer students. I know that freshmen get a few days to meet other students, learn the university system, sign up for classes etc. We transfers got a few hours in one day to sign up for classes a week or so before school began, most of which were closed. I hardly know anyone here, believe it or not, despite the large student population.I hope someone at UMass takes note of how unfairly they've treated us transfer students.
