The area of Urbana-Champaign often gets slammed for being "farm land" and having little to offer besides campus bars. But there is so much more! Besides a plethra of restaurants on and off campus, there is a downtown Champaign and downtown Urbana. Downtown Champaign offers unique restaurants and cute boutqiues, along with a wonderful environment to simply walk around in. Downtown Urbana boasts similar attractions but also hosts a farmers market in the summer, a sweet corn festival, and lots of other event that bring the community together. Assembly Hall seats 17,000 people and besides basketball games brings in a lot of popular music artists and touring broadway shows. We just had Movin' Out and Jason Mraz come to play!
