Coming out of high school I had been used to "coasting." I knew my strengths and I generally took courses that I knew would be easy for me. In college, while I did chose a major that plays to my strengths, I was hoping for intellectual stimulation of some sort. Drexel failed. You are just another number to them, another $45,000 being put into their very deep pockets. The faculty and administration does not care about the students and everyone knows this. That's why it's called The Drexel Shaft (seriously, ask anyone about it.) The school has LITTLE TO NO RESOURCES, the library itself is falling apart (really though, card tables??) and the faculty is unimpressive and unorganized. For such an insanely expensive school, I would hope to take some challenging courses or at the very least to be surrounded with students who are as eager to learn as I am and to have faculty within reach, willing and able to teach us. Well, I have been disappointed. The sad thing is, my situation is not unique. Every single person I know at Drexel has considered transferring at some point and generally the reason they don't is just because it's inconvenient. Well it's no more convenient for me, but I refuse to give this institution my money any longer. They have been filling in cracks for so long when really, the foundation is the problem. The quarter system is so stupid and the co-op program is FAILING. Students aren't getting co-ops (which is generally the incentive for coming to the university to begin with) and then Drexel cannot offer them a spot in classes, so they end up paying tuition to have part-time jobs or, in some cases, do nothing.

So, if you're looking for a school that has little to no campus life, has professors that don't care for their students and seem uneducated themselves, and to come out after 4 years less $200,000 and without any REAL education, then by all means, this is the place for you. I mean, you can probably get a 3.5 at least without too much effort. But don't get too excited, a degree from Drexel is just about as useful as a degree from any local/community/state school, just a lot more expensive. Oh yeah, and we're always compared to UPenn.
