What school did you switch to? I am looking for a school for my daughter who wants to be a photographer. I grew up in Rochester and my boyfriend went to RIT(35 years ago!). Everything you said about the weather and social life is still so true… |
RIT weeds out the week. This is not an easy school. You don't show up to class and magically get an A. Go ahead and google famous RIT Alumni, I bet you'll be surprised to see who went here. |
Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended this school because of the great photography program it offered. I left after the first quarter of my first year. The main reasons for this are the following: One, this school was way too expensive and I couldn't afford it. Two, I hated the fact that this school runs on a quarter system because this just makes your classes twice as hard. Three, I have to say being a female, I didn't appreciate getting hit on by all of the desperate guys here at this school. I know it's expected when there are thousands more guys than girls but if your a female I suggest not coming here unless you want to get stalkers. Fourth, I hated the weather. It gets so cold here and the location is really boring. Well, I know some students like it here but this is just my opinion. I'm now at a different college and like it so much better than RIT.
