I love the university of iowa and I never regret that I came here for 4 years. As a foreigner and minority, I met lots of open minded native speakers of all races, that was something I didnt expect before I came. Although Like other public schools, Drinking is one of the main issues here, and I'm a little annoyed by the drunk "zombies" walking on the streets on the weekends. My advise to you is that do not go to library with your backpack during the football game because iowa fans would rip you into pieces. And do not leave library late at night on friday and saturday because you would be insulted and bugged by those alcoholics. Other than the drinking issue, I have no other problem at UI at all. Education quality is fairly good, social life is okay as long as you have a bunch of friends who share common interests with u. I had a wonderful life at Iowa and GO HAWKS. I will carry my pride of being an iowa graduate anywhere I go.
