Belmont has been the worst decision of my life! The academics are no different than high school. Attendance is required, you study the material, and you take a test. The teachers are uninterested in relating the class content into something useful. There are no case studies, no real world applications, no projects, etc. Only busy work, busy work, and more busy work. I have had to "work the system" to continue to maintain a 4.0. The concept of "real life applications" does NOT exist on campus.

PLEASE heed my warnings! I am a transfer student so I KNOW what I am talking about. In fact, I have already been accepted to MIT (Sloan), Harvard, UPenn (Wharton), and UofVA (McIntire) and am getting the hell out of here next semester.

The student body is very close-minded, un-motivated, un-inspired, and boring. No one is creative and interesting. Every student I have met is only concerned with getting a "C" or better, and moving on with their life.

If you are a motivated, intelligent, creative, and passionate about something…I guarentee that you'll hate Belmont.

It hate being this harsh, but I do not want others to make the same mistake I did. I was hoping Belmont would be an amazing experience, but it has been nothing but frustration, dissapointment, and sadness.

Summary: Belmont is a close-minded, poor excuse for a university. You will leave Belmont with a large amount of debt and nothing to offer an employer. The only thing they are "known" for is blowing smoke up the asses of Music Business students and making them believe their industry isnt hemorrhaging. Besides, the pioneers of the music industry dont graduate from Belmont…they graduate from Stanford and Harvard.
