Auburn is really your typical party school. I came here because the nursing program was decent but soon realized this place was not for me. I am from the north and it is an entirely different place than the south. If you are not a white born southerner this is not the place for you. The only thing to do on the weekends is get plowed and hook up with others. I have not met one person that I could possibly spend the rest of my life with. Not to mention not one person is in a relationship. All anyone seems to care about is drinking and watching football. The school truthfully from the outside looks amazing. I came in thinking I would have the time of my life. Sooner did I realize I felt trapped and wasting my parents money. I thought having a big football stadium, tons of school pride, and southern hospitality would be what I was looking for but regrettably I made the wrong decision. Auburn's highlights are its football team and its football team alone. The campus is pretty minus all the drunks. I party but to a certain extent and the nightlife here was atrocious. Goodbye Auburn HELLO UGA!! (:

It cheers me up to see I'm not the only one that feels this way…except not for the whole getting plowed thing. I'm a guy.

I'm trying to decide between UGA and Auburn and I have visited both and know many people who absolutely love AU and don't get plastered every weekend. But I wanted to know what it is about UGA that you like better than Auburn. UGA, to me, seems like even more of a party schoool than Auburn considering it has twice the amount of bars as AU?

I'd try a community college in your local town for awhile and take your time making the decision. I doubt you'd like UGA. I could be wrong.
