I came to VCU because of its great art program. It was pretty descent, pretty helpful teachers, and interesting assignments. I only took two classes that were not art which were english and art history. The english class i had was way too easy but the teacher was super engaging and made the class great. The art history teacher sucked, all she did was recite her notes. I mean maybe art history isn't supposed to be interesting, i wouldn't know. If you do the arts foundation year, be warned! It was litterally 6 hours of homework a night. Maybe for students who are in love with art, this would be great for them. Not for me though. Overall the kids i met were pretty nice, just a bit too many hipsters. Descent looking guys
