Your comment is very helpful to me! I plan to study Accounting and economics, and I heard that Berkeley has very large classes. Is that true? If it is so, do students still got plenty of chances to communicate with professors? |
About attending a private school, it depends on which one it is. If it's one like Amherst or Swarthmore, then yes, I recommend it. They are renowned among good graduate schools and future employers. But if you're considering a place like Biola or La Verne, DON'T DO IT. Those latter schools are awful and graduate schools and employers think that the Biola and La Verne type schools are a joke. |

Berkeley is a do it yourself kind of school. You are responsible for everything. However, if you want to speak one on one with a professor, it isn't a problem as long as you go during posted office hours. Not impossible to get A's if you keep up with your studies, but that's difficult to do with all the distractions. If you plan on going to grad school, you should attend a private school, much, much easier to get good grades.
