Major: Finance (This Major's Salary over time)
At one point in my life, I thought quite highly of Belmont University. However, upon attending the school for one semester, my opinion has changed dramatically. I see now that the music majors receive an unfair amount of attention and resources on this campus. While said major may be important to the University, the administration must realize that there are, indeed, other students to consider.Even worse than the unfair allocations is the poor academic quality. While there are some quality professors here, the majority of gen ed courses (it seems) are taught by adjunct professors that seem to simply view their positions as part-time employment that does not require their full attention or efforts. Such qualities are simply inexcusable for an institution that claims to be "quality."Furthermore, Belmont's claims that it is a Christ-centered university are completely bogus. Beyond the occasional Christian convocation event, there are no traces of the supposed history and tradition. To answer whether or not I would choose this institution if given another chance, I strongly answer "no." Belmont needs to realize that its price point leads students expect much more than it actually gives.
