I am a second degree seeking student that works full time. I chose UMUC because I got a little tuition remission from my employer, its online, I only needed 10 courses to get my second BS, it is associated with the UoM system.

I had no trouble being admitted, enrolling in the class I took, paying for the class, etc.

I took one class and received an 'A' with about 20 hours of work (10 hours to write computer programming projects and 10 hours of class discussion). The computer programming projects were high school level stuff that were way too easy for a college level class. The discussions were mostly between students that were in different arms of the military. I learned nothing (except military jargon) from the discussion part of the course. There are no proctored tests at UMUC, so make what you will of that.

I guess I should be excited about making an 'A', but I am not. The course work is so easy that breathing gives you 25% of your final grade. I was so disappointed that I can't take another class at UMUC because I know a degree from UMUC would not be worth the paper on which it is written. I will look for another school to complete my 2nd degree, because it is my opinion that UMUC is working on a degree mill status.
