Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I don't know why most people here are ranting about Drexel University. By far, the experience and the opportunities present in Drexel are one of the most cherished ones. Drexel consists of STAR Research that selects about 200 students for research oriented study throughout summer, ExCiTe center which collaborates research with arts and the STEM field, organisations such as ASME, AIAA and learning communities such as Energy Learning community and ExCiTe Learning community within the engineering department. Apart from this, if you've an approachable faculty (which most are) you can actually get involved in research during your freshman year itself. It can vary from making a robotic arm to actually living in an energy efficient house and work on your research! Research aside, Drexel has so many career developing centers such as SCDC where people show you the right path and actually make you chose. When you're going to enter college, you're an adult and unless and until you take up the initiative, opportunities won't come running after you! You've resources, use them well! The only aspect of Drexel that I didn't so far where the dorms and dining center which were way too overrated (especially for international students). However, current there is a construction going on to build a 24 storey dorm with its own dining center and I personally think it's going to be awesome! From my observation, I can proudly say that Drexel is one the best Engineering school in the country! Give it a chance and look outside the box! With President Fry, the college is improving like hell and the recent study indicates that Drexel has the 3rd best security in the country!Note: Piece of advice - unless and until you're motivated and want to create a major impact within yourself and your surroundings in a positive way, this isn't the college for your!
