I am struggling at Vanderbilt. There is no joy here. Everyone just has their head down and works. The COVID restrictions have not helped and the University seems to be doing nothing to remedy it. Classes are not as advertised in the YES system for registration. For example, there is a social justice theme for every non-STEM class I have taken. I think Vanderbilt takes their students for granted and is riding on their reputation.
