Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
CMU has a lot of excellent programs such as Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Drama, IS, Buiseness, etc. The curriculum is very strong and most professors are nice and helpful. Most academic facilities are state of the art, with more computers on campus then students. As far as I know CMU is the only school that lets students print for free. The conditions at school are ideal for doing well: it rains almost every day, there is very little to do on campus and most students spend their free time playing video games. So, if you are not into video games you are almost forced to spend all your time studying. The social life is pretty much limited to fraternity parties to which guys can't get in unless they are in the frat. A lot of people live off campus and hang out only with their small group of friends, so it is very hard to meet new people at CMU. Since CMU is probably the ugliest school in the nation, almost every girl who weighs less then 250 lb thinks that she looks like a Hollywood superstar and has attitude problems. In general, CMU is perfect for those who can completely give up their social life for a good education.
