Vanderbilt is known for its incredible balance of work and play.  Organizations are key here as most students find a unique home in the myriad of opportunities.  Restaurants are plentiful all around campus and Nashville, and the bar

scene downtown is incredible and fun (Lonnie's Karaoke Bar is a huge hit).  Greeks are a big part of the social life here as 40% of the campus is Greek, but its an open Greek scene (meaning all parties are open to all of campus).  You won't feel excluded if you're not Greek, and I even rushed a year late and could have gone either way.  You'll most likely find another organization outside of the Greek scene to

invest your social life in and it'll be just as fulfilling.  There's no shortage of great times and incredible friends at Vanderbilt and in Nashville.  Come here if you're looking for an incredibly fulfilling social and academic life.
