I have absolutely loved my three years here so far.  A lot of people do not consider coming here, thinking it is unsafe and a commuter campus.  Although some of the surrounding area is not that great, the campus itself is VERY safe and I have never had any problems.  The commuter aspect is what you make of it.  For me, I lived on campus for 2 years and am involved in my program as well as a lot of extracurriculars (including a sorority), so I have never felt like that is a problem.  In fact, being a commuter campus actually has its advantages.  It means that the student life on campus of people very actively involved is a little smaller.  So, you get the perks of a very large campus with the perks of it also feeling cozier.
