Date: Aug 31 2005 Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time) Overall, I believe UF provides a great balance of what a high school student should look for in an institution for higher education. UF offers the typical college experience for any student looking for an education as well as social activities. Adcademically speaking, the university is by far the best in the state and continues to improve on the national picture. This past year the school was second in the country with national merit students proving it has a solid reputation. However, if there is a downside to the school it would have to be the class size and access to additional help in the business school. Outside of that, I feel the university provides a great scholastic foundation for its students. As far as the social life, UF is tops in my book. Students have everything from student organizations and clubs to althletic events and a wild party scene. Its true that Gainesville may not be the most cultural city around but it isn't completely bare. The city, in conjuction with UF, has a decent amount of museums and activities to broaden one's horizens. In short, I feel this envirnoment allows students to get a true feeling of college life.
