I feel sorry for the people on here who think AMU is just wonderful. Go to This website lists all accredited universites and colleges in the United States. While there are many accrediting agencies, NONE of them recognize AMU. If your going to get a degree online, make sure the college/university exists in brick and mortar form and it's accredited.

You might wanna look up American Public University, the main name of the program, on that same website you posted… cause its there… and its accredited… you might wanna do some more research next time…

Actually it is accredited under its main branch which is American Public University Systems which includes American Military University. I admit that it might not be well known school and you might not have your degree accepted but you should do alittle more research before saying such things.

Try this: (that's from the website you posted, properly generated) assuming, of course, you can actually read. The other responses are correct, APU is the parent of AMU. AMU is highly respected in the distance learning community. I recommend you try feeling sorry for yourself.

Go check APUS you idiot, AMU is part of the American Public University System, and they are fully accredited by both official agencies - do you think so many various military and government agencies would have agreements with AMU otherwise?
