First off let me remind everybody that EVERY university/college is a BUSINESS. ASU is no different. We just do business differently here.

As a student, let me just tell you that we here at ASU DO NOT CARE what outsiders think of us. To all the people who keep making jokes about ASU: please keep it going, keep pouring on the hate, no I mean it. The more everyone hates/jokes about us, the more relevant we stay in the minds of people, the more people will be interested in our university,the more businesses will come down to recruit kids.

If you are someone that is intimidated by big student bodies. ASU isn't for you.

If you aren't a competitive person, dont come to ASU.

If you cant handle taking heat or critism, ASU isnt for you.

If your coming to ASU to mostly party or meet people at parties, then I would suggest you enroll somewhere else. Our supposed "Party school" status is slowly going away.

Now for the good stuff:

There are ENDLESS opportunities at ASU! The staff/faculty will give you every tool that you will need to succeed. However, YOU have to reach out and grab those tools, they wont be handed to you.

Don't expect the "academic" part of your ASU life to be easy. We are very proud of our academics. The academic schedule will be very rigorous.

As a University our goal is to have at LEAST 100,000 student body by 2020, so the acceptance rates probably wont get any lower.

Bottom line is this, we are looking to build LEADERS. If you are someone that wants to "LEAD" and not "FOLLOW", ASU is the perfect place for you.

Actually, even the local newspaper has caught on to the INCREDIBLE SCAM of ASU and the Arizona Board of Regents. Be aware that you WILL be exposed to instructor and administrative abuses. Cheating is not a problem at ASU. It is celebrated and rewarded.

How easy is it to get into the medical program? I want to become a surgical nurse and am very interested in ASU.

Hi, I am trying to decide between NAU and ASU and I am having a really hard time.. It sounds like you are having a really positive experience, and like you I am looking for an education above all else, but I am really active too and I like to be outside or with friends. In terms of meeting good people and being able to do fun things on weekends (other than partying) what would you say about ASU? and witch campus would you say is best? -Kendall
