This is a great university.Quite BrightEducation
This is a great university. The quality of students is rising and the campus is beautiful. My major has been amazing and I am extremely happy with my degree. You should strongly consider matriculating here if you are admitted. The people are great for the most part (a few bad eggs .. but that's everywhere) and my professors are people that I am going to keep in touch with after I graduate. Lots of academic resources and opportunities for undergraduate research and scholarship. So many activities to be a part of. It feels like a private school becuase nobody is actually from Delaware, only about 1/3. Diversity is improving here too which is great to see.I love the University of Delaware and highly suggest coming here!

Question
Teachers are more focused on getting grants andQuite BrightComputer Engineering
Teachers are more focused on getting grants and writing books than helping students. Office hours are pritty limited. The math department doesn't have very good teachers. I really have the feeling the school doesn't care much for students.

Food and school supply prices are pritty high. Lunch for two at the student center cost $21! Non-textbook products at bookstore have inflated prices. Traffic is really bad in Newark and there is no where to park.

The only really good thing I can think of about the school is that you can get a 4 year degree there.

Question
University of Delaware works hard for the prestigeQuite BrightPsychology
University of Delaware works hard for the prestige it has and that means that they expect alot out of you. Classes will be hard and challenging, sometimes to the point of frustration which I believe is really more about the school's image than your personal achievement. The staff is a 50/50 split in that one professor will ne the nicest most helpful person and the next will be the most arrogant bastard ever encountered. Partying is a constant thing so there is no lack of fun things to do. The disclaimer: Students here are generally rich, attractive, snooty. You are likely to make friends quickly because the snobby exterior fades rather quickly, but for the first few days/weeks it can be intimidating! Good Luck!!!
