Question
All of my kids were in the sciencesChemistry
All of my kids were in the sciences and were on D1 sports at either Hofstra, SUNY Bing. or UDel. I was shocked at how much better Hofstra and SUNY Binghamton are than UDel. At Udel, the profs were all about themselves and their research. At Hofstra, and SUNY Bing. the profs are about the students. In fact, my daughter at Udel used a biology textbook written by a Hofstra professor that my other daughter at Hofstra used! At least I did not have to buy the book twice. Udel is an "r" institution for research. That is so misleading if you think that will translate in to a better education. In addition, the sports goons at Udel think they are the next Penn State (and they may be for all the wrong reasons) when it comes to football. Do not believe ANYTHING you are told by any coach or assistant, especially LAX. www.udelscholarships.org and other similar websites will tell you all you need to know there. Overall ? SUNY Bing and then Hofstra (net of scholarships) are such a better value than Udel. Don't be a sucker to pay out of state tuition just to lower instate tuition for the Delaware residents.
