The school is aboutQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The school is about the co-op program. If you do not intend on joing the program or do not want to work for 6 months you should find some state school and breeze through college.

Question
I made the mistake of going to drexelBrightDesign Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
I made the mistake of going to drexel university's college of media arts and design because i believed that their foundations in engineering and computer science would help me in my interests in new media. i was mistaken. CoMad's digital media program just plain sucks. it blows. drexel isn't an art school. comad is far from being an arts department - the professors are arrogant and they enjoy speaking down to students to boost their self esteems and compensate for their failed careers. the campus is horrible - its ugly, ill maintained, dark, dreary, and horribly designed. if you plan on looking forward to the city, good luck, because drexel is located on the fringes of the true "city life" in "university city" - a mecca of snooty college types with popped collars, pink shirts, and eskimo boots.

its surprising that most of the full-time digital media faculty are not versed in the arts. so if youre interested in new media or any visual studies at all - good luck finding any direction or inspiration.

i look at drexel's CoMAD school as a school for "artists" who are not fully attatched to the arts. their "foundation" program is almost non-existant - and the design classes they have first year are a joke where the professors are pretentious and enjoy cutting down student work.

the digital media program focuses more on 3d modelling instead of new media, where it should be. it is too dependant on old media. the facilities are mediocre at best.

it looks like theyll pretty much accept anyone.avoid this school if you have a true love of the visual arts, or specifically, of new media. i was lucky enough to transfer out, and surprisingly, the other institution accepted drexel's credits.

Question
Don't go to Drexel, especially for Engineering.BrightComputer Engineering
Don't go to Drexel, especially for Engineering. Please read all the other negative reviews out there. I could write a long list of what's wrong with Drexel, but it's already been done countless times. Also, they're co-op program doesn't live up to it's hype and you're better off going to a reputable 4 year college like The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology or if you're lucky enough the The Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering ...even Penn State or University of Pennsylvania are much better alternatives.

Oh yeah, and the campus sucks too and isn't very safe. I had my dorm room broken into, friends that were beaten and held at knife point (practically on campus), 2 bikes stolen, and frequent mild cases of food poisoning from the cafeteria food.

STAY AWAY FROM DREXHELL.P.S. Tuition was constantly raised and what the college offers definately isn't worth what you pay!
