William and Mary gave me so much, itEconomics
William and Mary gave me so much, it is hard to put into words. First, a strong work ethic that has put me ahead of others who did not have to work so hard in college. Second, academic skills, such as writing and analysis. Third, the close relationships you have with professors gave me an understanding of how to deal with bosses, clients, etc. And finally, the school's reputation will take you places--I know I got a lot of job interviews because of it.

If you want to get an education that prepares you for both graduate school and the workplace, William and Mary is a fantastic place to go.

Question
William and Mary will kick your academic ass,Business - Management and Administration
William and Mary will kick your academic ass, but it's well worth it. The education you receive is worth every penny and you have the assurance that everyone you graduated with earned their degree. The most intelligent and interesting people I have ever met were W&M students. W&M strengthens your work ethic, which carries you to greatest in whatever you do after college. Even the easy classes at W&M are only easy "B's," A's are hard to come by. I wish the school was better funded though. W&M also deserves a much better reputuation for the quality of education it provides. The quality is much better than schools typically ranked ahead of W&M like UVA, UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory, Cornell, Vanderbilt, etc. The quality of education you receive at W&M is more similar to Dartmouth, Swarthmore, or Princeton.

Question
William and Mary is an excellent school academics-wise,Quite BrightEnglish
William and Mary is an excellent school academics-wise, but the surrounding town lacks excitement and has a profusion of tourists (which is very aggravating). The students tend to be a little different than the mainstream, but I personally find this rather refeshing. It has a very different flow and atmosphere than most state universities, both because of its small size and the fact that academics here will challenge you and you (gasp) might acually learn something useful. It feels homey and comfortable to me, sometimes too small, but overall a good fit, though I think many students would not find William and Mary to be the best place for them since stress and high competition for good grades really kills the fun in some people (believe me, I have seen this happen one too many times). Basically, make sure you really are smart enough and relaxed enough to withstand four years of hard core academics before committing to coming here.
