The U of R offers undergraduates an exceptional opportunity to explorer their different talents. The U of R has music programs at Eastman for musicians, business classes at Simon School for business folks and many internships. I had the opportunity to spend a semester in Washington DC with a congressman as a political science major. I was able to take advantage of the resources available at the U of R. The liberal arts education taught me the ability to adapt to an ever-changing technical workplace which is more valuable than any book knowledge. A great deal of my success was rooted in being taught how to learn new concepts verse the actually information taught.

My recommendations for students would go to a school that values teaching students how to learn. (U of R is definitely one of them) That is the most important attribute you have take away from your college experience. Otherwise, you will because wasting your time memorizing technical information about career you will dislike. To many of my friends ended up as engineers or accounts because thier parents were worried about post-grad employment.
