SCAD leaves a LOT to be desired. It is not a real art school; rather it is a business venture run and marketed (very cleverly and manipulatively) by a bunch of guys in 3 piece suits. No one is doing groundbreaking or significant work here; it is pure color by number. It was so much like my high school art classes that I got fed up and transfered to RISD, and it has made a world of difference!!! If you want to be an artist, go to RISD or the Art Institute of Chicago or Parsons—SCAD is for the people whose work wasn't good enough to get into those places!
