The University of Rochester is an excellent place to get an eduaction. Its curriculum (the "cluster" system) is second to none. If you are looking for a bastion of higher eduaction, this is it.The dorm rooms are great. The doubles are amoung the most spacious I have ever been in. There is plenty of storage space available in the provided furniture. The lighting is lacking, but this is easily remedied. On a friday night it is not uncommon to find many students studying in thier rooms. This is also true for every other night of the week. Nothing goes on around campus. Nothing goes on in the city around campus. Nothing goes on within about 50 miles of Rochester. If you go to college to learn and for nothing else, this is an excellent place for you. If you want a social life to go with your degree, Rochester is not the place for you.
