Ohio Wesleyan University is an excellent place for serious, self-motivated academic work. Among the faculty are some of the best teachers in academia. They are willing to work closely with you on your school work and on independent research. The academic experience is first-rate. Expect to learn and be pushed as far as you can go. You'll work like you've never worked before. It's not unusual for students to study regularly over 6+ hours a day. Come to Ohio Wesleyan if you're serious about learning and getting the best damned undergraduate liberal arts education you can get.Unfortunately, OWU seems to have gained the reptutation of being a drug haven for rich Northeast kids. This appearance is quite misleading. Face it: college kids do drugs, and drugs are no more prevalent at OWU than any other school. We've got a drug/alcohol policy just like anywhere. The only real difference is that OWU students tend to be more open about their substance use. All fo this is easy to avoid, if one wants to. I, and many others, have. Those who complain about "too much" drugs at Wesleyan usually are the ones who cave at the first sign of peer pressure. You're not one of those, I hope…
