So much of Yale depends on your attitude and expectations. Before I came I had a perfect image of Yale. I thought people would be humble and smart and talented and accepting, etc. What attracted me to this place at first was that everyone seemed to just LOVE it, so when I came and didn't enjoy it as much, I felt out of place. A lot of that was because I met some not-so-uplifting people who just sat around and complained about how miserable their lives were. Not cheerful. But when I came back second year, I decided to have a more positive attitude, and met a lot of really cool people who were more in tune with my personality. Since then I've come to love this place, and to really take advantage of the fun things New Haven has to offer. I would strongly suggest that you visit before making a decision about joining this horde of liberal masses. The prestige is nice, but it'll only get you so far.
