UNT is a good school for anyone, but especially for those who are interested in being educated in a laid-back environment. It has excellent programs for all of the liberal arts, and also a fantastic education department. I would think that anyone could find a niche here. The Greek system does have an empowering presence on campus, but you will find that it is mostly composed of students who are not extremely involved in their studies. However, if this is something that you are interested in, Sorority Houses went up this last year, and the Greek system has pulled together to be a strong unit. The athletic program, especially for football, has been improving, and overall the moral and school sprit seems to have increased profoundly in the last few years. I'm just worried that soon it will turn into a "football" school, as many of the others in TX. The staff has been helpful, though at times it feels that they don't have the materials to work with as a school this size should. The parking facilities are inadequate, but they seem to be making changes to improve it. Tuition has increased significantly, but our money is showing up all over campus in new buildings!
