it's a good school. no matter what kinda person you are, you'll fit in. the profs are usually approachable and quality of academics varies from department to department. for ex. i know engineering here is pretty good. i know cos i'm doing a double major in biomedical eng and biology. but you have to go after what you want cos as expected from a big public school, you're nothing more than a number to the admin and you're going to find a good amount of red tape.
