Adding to previous: My view of this university is most likely skewed due to why I came to UH. I came for friends. I was accepted to UT and made A & B before coming here. Your contentment at UH depends largely on your reasons for being there, not on your intelligence. Do not choose a university based on friends. It will effect your grades. I spoke to my physics profs about going to UH for a friend. Both were against it, academically as well as socially. Of all the places I've been including community colleges, the profs at UH seem discontent and arrogant. Realize that most professors at any university did not get their education at the university they are teaching, well at least in the physics department. Houston has alot to do, but the traffic constricts mobility. By the way, Houston was ranked 4th most unfriendly city in US. Its not like being in a foreign country, but you will notice.
