Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
Once you get past the big lecture classes, things are quite nice. In the big lecture classes (Econ 102), you have a professor who is just trying to make that dollar and a TA that probably doesn't speak English that well. Even though I am a freshman, I am taking Differential Equations. That class consists of like 20 people and the professor that teaches it speaks English very well (he's White-American). He could be a better teacher, but discussion between the classmates really helps. It is true that the social life mainly consists of Frats and Bars. I suggest to all incoming freshman who are intersted in going to bars/frats to aquire a fake 19 or even 21 ID, and also to "rush" a lot of frats. Even if you do not join a frat, it is nice to have friends in them. You get to take advantage of the free drinks and atmosphere. If you really like the people there, then accept the bid if they offer you one. Beware: there are a lot of D Bags out there, but there are also a lot of cool people out there. In your first year, make friends with people on your floor, they provide you with good times and connections. It is also nice to know upperclassmen with apts. Overall, I am enjoying myself in and out of the classroom.
